To predict the behaviors of coal during heating by routine analysis of coal physical properties it is necessary to find one suitable model which can describe relation of coal structure and its reactivity. For a complex press coal pyrolysis is strongly subjected to influence and limitation of many factors, such as coal ranks, coal physical and chemical properties, operating conditions. Here, the effect of thermal transfer, mass transfer and mineral materials on coal pyrolysis will be neglected., to set up model of coal structure and its pyrolysis reactivity will be only from analysis results of coal proximate and ultimate and functional groups reactivity. By the means of independent analysis and based on 17 parameters including data of proximate and ultimate analysis of coal, model of predicting coal pyrolysis reactivity is made. Eight different rank of coals ranging from peat to anthracite are selected as samples. It is found that O, OH, CH_2, H_(ar)/H_(al) and M have a great effect on activation energy of coal pyrolysis which can reflect coal reactivity to some extent. The expression of their relation can be shown asE = a_1× C_H + a_2×C_M + a_3 × C_(Har)/H_(al) + a_4 × C_(XH2) + a_5 × C_(OH) among them:a_1 =8641.77, a_2=-204.18, a_3=3406.15, a_4=l 1001.69, a_5=-236.54 C--the amount of each itemR-squared = 0.9916
