摘要

The protective strength of high hardness steel/aramid and steel/polyethylene laminate targets was investigated. 7.62mm AP M61 and FNB91 proejctiles with steel cores of L/D=3.41 (M61) and 3.85 (FNB91) were used. The impact velocity was 830+-10 m/s. The target steel plate thicknesses were 5.7, 6.9 and 8.5mm in combination with aramid or polyethylene laminates of 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 layers. The efficiency of the liner depending on the steeel core geometry and the target steel plate thicknesses could be derived. The deformation and performation of the targets was visualised by means of an ultra high-speed digital camera.
