摘要

Tribological conditions in a piercing process of punch are most severe in forging process. Therefore, proper lubrication at the punch is vital in the piercing process of punch for aluminum alloys, because aluminum alloys have a marked tendency of pick-up on the tool surface. In the present paper, the lubrication behavior and mechanism in piercing process of punch for aluminum alloys has been investigated by a friction test based on a combined forward conical can-backward backward straight extrusion developed by authors.
