Administration of campus computing labs and faculty desktops

This paper will outline the assessment process,evaluation techniques and analysis used throughout the course of reviewing and implementing the University of Pittsburgh's campus computing labs and faculty desktop environment.Barriers and obstacles to implementation will be identified as well as opportunities for creative solutions.Solutions that are presented include products from Novell,Microsoft,IBM,and Applem, Sassafras,and Pharos.
