This paper presents the design and implementation of a fast-response discrete state-feedback deadbeat controller for a 2-FET forward switch-mode dc power. The analog state space model of the power supply and its discretization for digital control is developed. State-variable feedback formulation and its digital implementation for the power supply are described. Its performance is illustrated by simulation and experimental results.
