In this paper, we research and realize arithmetic of viewpoint tour based on OpenGL in flying simulation. Viewpoint tour is very important in flying simulation, because of huge extension, complex terrain and strict real-atime. When we draw 3D scenes, the amount of polygon in model is the important element to effect the real-time. If we decrease the amount of polygon in 3D model to increase speed of calculating will make 3D model rough low realty. We aim to increase speed of calculating under not lower realty of model.
