CONSTRUCTION OF DATABASE ON HEAT RESISTANT ALLOYS AND SOME ANALYSES OF FATIGUE PROPERTIES

The "Database on Heat Resistant Alloys" is under construction by the New Material Center (NMC) of the Foundation of Osaka Science and Technology Center, Japan. The present paper describes the aim and structure of the database of heat resistant alloys, and some examples of engineering application of the database. We analyze the mechanical properties, especially fatigue and fatigue crack propagation properties, as a function of testing temperature and testing atmosphere. From these analyses, we express the effectiveness of the database that can help to understand the heat resistant alloy.
