摘要

This paper proposes a systematic nonlinear analysis framework for analyzing the structural impact responses of large infrastructural systems under various impact loads. The analysis framework is developed through the integration of a bridge pier equipped with a superstructure and high impact vehicle model using the LS-DYNA finite element software. Both bridge pier and vehicle models are modeled using the solid elements. It was shown from the extensive simulations that the proposed analysis framework is effective in representing the complex behavior of bridge-vehicle collisions.
