摘要

A majority of global automotive markets are dependent upon diesel powered vehicles. To successfully meet the vast range of customer and environmental conditions a severe use 2.5L turbo diesel engine powered Jeep~® Cherokee was developed. The project was initiated as an application feasibility study in which current thermal systems capabilities and limitations under severe duty applications were identified. By utilizing proven and refined engineering practices, including the scientific method and Toot cause analysis techniques, a high flow coolant pump was developed.
