The fully developed laminar flow and heat transfer of a powerlaw non-Newtonian fluid in a concentric annulus with an axially moving core is studied analytically. Applying the shear stress described by the power-law model, the exact solutions for the momenturm equation are obtained. With the resulting velocity distribution, the energy equation is solved numerically for the thermal boundary condition of a constant wall heat flux at one wall with the other insulated.
