Fire Vulnerability of the Large Oil Transformets with Respect to NPP Safe Operation and Shutdown Considerations

Fire scenarios having significant impact on NPP state could occur and propagate outside of the NPP where the large oil transformers are placed. Some of these fire scenarios could seriously challenge the safety operation and require the plant shutdown because of the appearance of one or more initial events simultaneously with degradation of safety functions. Eventually, the fire scenarios propaating at this NPP location may initiate accident scenarios having significant contribution to the total risk.
