in order to study the seismic hazard for a viaduct construction in alpine area, we usedseveral methodologies. First, we determined the regional hazard by using neotectonic approach,historical and instrumental seismicity. Secondly, as this viaduct crosses over a possibly active fault,we determined the probable displacement on both sides of this fault. Third, we have made ananalysis of site effect all over the zone interested by the project in order to determine the transferfunction of each site. Lastly, a spectrum was established for each site and, of course, for each pile.
