摘要

The effects produced by Ar-O2 downstream low pressure plasma surface treatment in the WPC consisted in the creation of surface polar groups (C-N, C=O) and reduction of cellullose on the WPC surface, an increase in wettability and surface energy, and the creation of more homogeneous roughness. An increase in WPC adhesion was obtained by treatment with downstream argon:oxygen (2:1, v/v) low pressure plasma, more markedly for the WPC containing higher PE content. This treatment is novel for WPC materials and environmentally friendly, providing good adhesion.
