An Environmental Audit was made on the Incandescent lamp process production, and it was determined that the mountings and the lamps, with or withou aluminium base, is mainly the waste generated by the process. These wastes are constituted by various metals fractions such as glass, tungsten wire, molybdenum wire, nickel-copper wire and aluminum bases, making their recycling to other processes very difficult. This is the reason they have to be disposed of in a landfill, adding to the industry handling and final disposal costs. However,m each material can be recycled or reused as raw material. using the waste minimization strategy, a waste physic treatment system application was proposed. This system consists of pulverization in a hammer mill, a magnetic separation using a permanent magnetic durm and finally a vibrating sieve screening. Once an acceptable segregation was achieved, we searched for the reultilization of powdered glass, being in the white ceramic frits elaboration process where acceptable results were obtained.
