Grtey goal programming modelling for regulating regional solid waste shipping strategies in the metropolitan region

摘要

One of the recent issues in the operational prgram is how to handle the impacts due to different waste flows generated with differing heating values such that the existing incincerators can meet both the energy recovery and throughput requirements simulaneously in a soid waste management system. This paper explores a new idea that an operational program can be arranged with respoect to the varying quantity and quality of solid waste streams using grey goal programming model as a planning tool This strategy is particularly significant for those metropolitan areas where raid growth of municipal solid waste generation ratge, fast depletion of landfill space, and insufficient incineration capacity become phoenomental while the infromation for solid waste management system planning is very limited. A case sutdy in the Taipei metropolitan region in Taiwan shows the application potential of such a methodology.
