In the industrial preparation of H2, the electrol;izer is using as device to producer, however this system has different problems associate with the energy need it to operate As an alternative of this technique it is possible to use photoelectrodes made it by semiconductors thin films, as an electrode to produce the photoelectrolysis of water. This is a process by which light absorbed in a semiconductor is used to decompose water molecules into molecular hydrogen and oxygen (1). Light absorbed by the semiconductor generates electron-hole pairs, which in turn help the oxidation-reduction reactions at he photoelectrode and the counter eletrode to produce oxygen and hydrogen respectively.
