Modern telecommunication system is connected oriented. It can't satisfy the requirement of the NII. The basic requirement of NII is to link differnet kind network to be a seamless network.. The success of the commercialization of non-connected Internet made a strong shock to the modern telecommunication system. The Open Data Network model will be the base of the future NII. The Internet accord with ODN model, the future NII wil be developed from the base of Internet. How to guarantee the quality of service(QOS) is the key problem of the Internet realtime service. In rencent year, the protocols for QOS are developing speedly, and the routed switch, that can provid LAN/WAN itnegrated switching, has been commercialized. That means the broadband IP network is going to commercialize, and it will be the base of future NII.
