摘要

To develop the nearshore wave condition in Southern Claifornia,six meteorologicla weather patterns including extratropical cyclones of the northern pre-frontal local sea,tropical storm swell and extratropical cyclones of the southern hemisphere were identified and classificed.Wave characteristics in tdeep water,correspondin to the categorized weaterh patrerns,were computed and hten transferred to the nearshore target sites via a spectral back-refraction transformation model.A Monte Carlo simulation tecnique was applied to genrate a synoptic atlas of hte nearshore wave climate in this region.
