Internal targets

摘要

The grwoing use of internal targets in circular accelerators and storage rings over the past two decades has been motivated by some unique advantages over experiments with external beams. This ppaer is a brief description of the characteristics of internal targets, followed by a review of various types that have been used or developed to date.
