Structural changes to the Energy market (initally for Electricity) in New Zealand, are presenting a major opportunity to establish renewable forms of energy generation as sustainable options in a true sense. That this requires cetain fundamental shifts in conventional thinking and application is a given, but in the context that it must be based on sound business practice, it is entirely feasible. A focus on the needs of the `end-user', the Consumer, results in the understanding that their situation can be turned around. An orientation is possible which serves their needs best and may well provide a basis for Energy for a sustainable prosperity.
