Supercritical fluid extraction of pah's from aquifer materials

Groundwater that crosses the Florida Peninsula from North to South in the Floridian and Biscayne aquifers is the main source of water for all the human activities in this state. These aquifers formed mainly by dolomitic rock play a majorrole in the maintenance of the unique characeristics of the Florida's ecosystem. However, spills resulting from transportation and handling of petroleum products, among other sources of contamination, threaten the water quality of the ecosystem.
