Groundwater flow-art or science?

摘要

The physical and chemical behavior of water in geologic environments is the focus of a variety of environmental evaluations. Groundwater flow patterns are related to environmental fate and transport of contaminants and therefore are the basis of human and ecologic risk assessments where groundwater is the most important vector. Evaluation of groundwater flow is critical to assessing risk and designing treatment technologies.
