Cache Miss Equations: An ANalytical Representation of Cache Misses

With the widenig performance gap between processors and main memory, effeicient memory accessing behavior is neccessary for good program performance. Both hand-tuning and compiler optimization techniques ar often used ot transform codes to improve memory performance. Effetive transformations require detailed knowledge about the frequency and causes of cache misses in the code.
