Information on our customers and markets is available. In this presentation I have highlighted and used sources developed by the IPC and its Assembly Market Research Council, but there are numerous reliable sources available within the industry. If effectively used, this information can give us insight into the market place and how our organizations should react in today's competitive environment. As Richard D'Avent of Tuck School at Dartmouth College states in his book Hypercompetition: Managing the Dynamics of Strategic Maneuvering, "Even the largest and most successful of competitors are discovering that in a hypercompetitive world, past advantages are no guarantee of future success."
