SHUNT OUTPUT FEEDBACK ADAPTIVE CONTROLLERS FOR NONLINEAR PLANTS

The method of parallel feedforward compensator ("shunt") developed earlier for adap-tive control of linear plants is extended to a class of nonlinear minimum phase plants. The new output feedback adaptive controllers achieve global stability of the closed loop system for regu-lation and tracking problems. The total order of the proposed controller is equal to the relative degree of the plant.
