Application of wavelet transform in the field of fault diagnoses of a diesel engine

In this paper the introduction of dyadic wavelet transform and packer wavelet transform in the detection of faults of a diesel engine is presented. The analysis of the singularity and the regularity of a time series is also briefly explained. And the simulation study of their application in the field of determination of faults of a cylinder of a diesel engine was done. Some interesting results are obtained.
