The coke charged into blast furnace will be diminished with PCi operation. A stringent requirement for coke quality is desirable for higher injection. The authors collect and analyze the operational results at No.1 blast furnace. The relations between the coke composition with furnace productivity and coke rate have been obtained and the effects of the M10 on both productivity and coke rate have been regressed respectively. The paper thinks that the metallurgical properties of coke is sensitive to coal injection but the logical relation is not found yet. At last, the coke quality targets suitable for 200kg/tHM injection rate is suggested.
