Modular Process Modelling of a Tunnel Pasteuriser

This paper describes a modular and hierarchical approach for the modelling of a complete tunnel pasteurisation plant as a first step towards an improved workflow for order based design procedures. Standardied components form the basis for the development of the gemetric and functional product models. The demands for such model structures are dsicussed and their implementation in the respective CAD and simulation systems is described. This allows an automated generation of a process model, which is derived from a CAD based plant design via a relation parameter file. Finally the prospect of further integration of the geometric and functional models by using Engineering Data Management (EDM) systems is provided.
