Risk Assessment for Land-Use Planning Purposes in the European Union

摘要

In this paper the selected approaches adopted by European countries for land-use planning purposes have been examined. Although the "risk oriented" and "consequence oriented" procedures are completely different, a preliminary comparison study [14] on their application showed that the "protection distances" around an installation may not differ as much as one might expect. However, a more detailed comparison on a case-specific basis would be very useful, providing great insight to the details of each method.
