摘要

Laser Assisted Tape Winding of thermoplastic composites has been shown to be feasible for circular or elliptic ring/helix production. The employment of localized heart sources for production, together with unique melting/solidification behavior of thermoplastic materials; enables the manufacturer to build thick cross section parts by lowering thermally induced residual stresses. It is also possible to wind on non-geodesic paths on the mandrel surface.
