What is the future of CD-ROM? CD-ROM is a cost-effective medium for information storage and distribution, however time and expense associated with mastering, duplicating and shipping CD-ROM discs reduces the medium's overall utility. By the time a user receives a CD-ROM, the informaiton contained on the disc may be outdated.
