Organizing for knowledge: developing a knowledge management system

This presentation will provide a case study of how Boozcentre dotAllen and Hamilton, Inc., an international management and technology consulting firm, developed an internal Web-based system to manage and disseminate its internal knowledge and business information. The case study will outline the organization of the team-based effort and content processes. It will illustrate how best practices, user feedback and cross-functional teams of users,information professionals and technologists were used in developing the hierarchy, structure and search functionality of the system. The Knowledge On-line system incorporates internal knowledge, external information sources, legacy systems, and other business information. It will conclude with a demonstration of the Knowledge On-Line system.
