摘要

The paper present the coordinative design in integrated system of high compact and high power engine CAD,which is supported by engineering database system in the distributed envi ronment including many VAX graphics work stations.The engine overall CAD ,piston Cad ,conrod CAD and other 11 CAD subsystems are working on different work stations coordinatively and exchange information with the global engineer ing databases (GEDBs). So GEDBs are the kernel of the whole appl icat ion system of engine CAD, and the EDBMS (Engineer ing Database Management System) is the support ing software. The engine general design engineer uses the overall CAD subsystem and controls the whole design job with the help of GEDBs (e. g. Task Letters , Coord inatecard and other EDBs) . The design engineers can communicate each other throgh GEDBs. Many engineering CAD subsystems work coordinatively and efficently under the direction of the overall CAD subsystem and GEDBs.
