摘要

Condensation polymerization of succcinic acid and various aliphatic diols have been investigated and polyesters with high molecular weights were found to be obtained by the reaction in the presence of a catalyst in an organic solvent. The polymers obtained by our process are strong enough to be processed into formed products, such as cup, film and fiber. These polyesters are tough and flexible in property like polyethylene and are degraded in a compost after use.
