By the proposed mathematics model, this paper explain the well-known phenomenon of Laplacian-distributed coefficients in detail image[l][2].From the viewpoint of multiresolution analysis and wavelet, the absolute value of c_n , the coefficient of image function that expanded in a wavelet basis at certain scale , is taken as a quantitative measure of information "capacity" that the sampled image contain. Presuming the equally-probable occurrence of the event, we give two constraints to describe the effect of image transition from V_(j+1) scale to V_j scale. At last, by employing the method of Lagrange multiplier, we find the relation of the Laplacian-distribution of coefficients in the wavelet expansion.
