Image Coding By Wavelet Transform Qr The Constraint Matrix

摘要

Wavelet transform provides an efficient pyramidal representation which is well adapted for image coding. The differently oriented wavelet components within each decomposition level are correlated because of the geometric structure of the image. By using the constraint matrix which specifying the above correlation ship, a modification to the conventional VQ algorithm is presented in order to reduce the computational load and decrease the bit rate.
