CAT II/III Accuracy and Availability for Local Area Differential GPS Including Geostationary Satellite and Pseudolite Augmentations

In the coming year the subject of Category II/III Local Area Differential GPS (LADGPS) architecture requrements will be more closely examined by both industry and government. Introducing a new system concept, particularly one involving a new technology such as DGPS, into the US NAS can be a long, difficult, and frustrating process. Gaining international acceptance can further increase the time to implement in an almost exponential manner. This is especially true for the Category II/III requirement in which the international community is heavily involved.
