Expressions of interest received by the department of energy in commercial clean coal technology projects in foreign countries

Congressional guidance for our 1995 appropriations requested the Department of Energy (DOE) to make the international dissemination of Clean Coal Technologies an integral part of its policy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in developing countries. DOE was instructed to solicit statements of interest in commercial CCT projects in countries projected to have significant growth in greenhouse gas emissions, and to report to the Congress on the information received. In all, 77 Expressions of Interest (EOI) were received from 33 respondents, along with four miscellaneous responses.
