HARDWARE-IN-THE-LOOP SIMULATION AT THE U.S. ARMY MISSILE COMMAND

This paper describes Hardware-In-The-Loop simulation as practiced at the U.S. Army Missile Command Advanced Simulation Center (ASC) located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. An overview of several of the simulators operated at the ASC is followed by a discussion of the role of simulation in the missile system development process. The paper concludes with a summary of the Verification and Validation methodology employed for a typical hardware-in-the-lcop simulation.
