A key technical issue in providing Personal Commumcation Services is the reliability of the radio path.Successful implementation of the radio system reties on the knowledge of the propagation characteristics of the service area.Indoor propagation environments,which have not yet been generally characterized are among the important environments of PCS.This paper describes a novel indoor loss-distance model and measurements in indoor environments.Examples of applications of this model in indoor strulctures such as hallways and large closed-in areas are given.
