The project demonstrated that ground source heat schemes can be successfully delivered on complex city centre urban developments.Converting the foundation piles into Energy piles? is relatively simple in theory - just add the loops and connections. The foundations become more efficient with a dual use; providing ground source energy for the heat pump as well as carrying the structural loads. Supplementing the Energy piles ? with deep open wells gives wider options in provision and efficiency of the energy supply.
