High efficiency chillers used in ground source London district cooling and heating scheme

Carrier, one of the world leaders in heating, air conditioning and refrigeration technology, has supplied three high performance chillers for a ground source district cooling and heating scheme for Riverlight, an exciting new riverfront development in the heart of London. The system delivers significant environmental benefits, including excellent energy efficiency, reduced carbon emissions, lower running costs as well as optimal comfort conditions for residents. Riverlight, being developed by regeneration specialist St James, a member of the Berkeley Group, is located alongside the River Thames near Battersea. The district is composed of 812 residential apartments, including 116 shared ownership units, retail sites, restaurants, bars, leisure facilities and a children's day-care centre.
