The human element is becoming more and more important to the success of a new plant. Peter Senge in his milestone book on adaptive learning (The Fifth Discipline) has blazed a new trail for the consideration of how to generate continuous improvement using collaborative learning. New plants are a major investment and the intangible benefits of the human capital required to operate these plants needs much more consideration in the future.
