Visual Evoked Potential (VEP) is a potential recorded from visual cortex by light stimulation of visual system, pattern reversal visual evoked potential (PRVEP) is a method which is used commonly by neurologist to examine the normal pathway of the patients. It is observed that in some cases, e.g. optic neuritis where that is lack of visual a cuity, the patirnts are placed close to the monitor to recored VEP. The aim of present work is too ctyeck the effect of distance in recording of VEP in normal population.Method: 25 subjects with normal visual system were selected. VEP was recorded in total population at different distance. Latency (msec) & amplitude (uv) was measured for total population. SPSS was used to check the differences obtained at different distances.Result: The result shows significants increase in peak PI 00 values when the subject is placed close to monitor.Conclusion: From the result of present work one can conclude that placing the subject close to monitor may misguide the neurologist to improper diagnosis which will be disgust in detail in full paper.
