Compact Data Structures for Location-Based Forwarding in NDN Networks

Since data obtained by Internet of Things devices is correlated with their locations, location-based services (LBSs) of exploiting data locality are promising. We design a location- based forwarding mechanism to retrieve location data in Named Data Networking networks to support such LBSs. A key feature is that a name of location is used as a destination rather than a physical address. This paper proposes a naming scheme for location data and data structures for location-based forwarding.
