Environmental impact assessment of Marennes-Oleron bay: operational mathematical modelling and GIS

摘要

Throughout the world, coastal zones are the most heavily populated and ecologically vulnerable area. Many different and often conflicting interests exist in such areas w hich have to be (at least) propertly addressed and (hopefully) carefully managed. For this purpose it is absolutely necessary to enhance the forecasting capacity regarding the medium- to long-term changes in the coastal marine system in the light of human activities and natural changes.
