CURRENT STATUS OF Tc ―99 m PRODUCTION IN THAILAND

摘要

Technetium ―99m is the workhorse of nuclear medicine and currently accounts for over 80% of all in vivo diagnostic procedures. In Thailand, Office of Atomic Energy for Peace (OAEP) had experiences in production of Technetium ―99m by solvent extraction process and alternative technology for Technetium ―99m generator based on zirconium molybdate and titanium molybdate gel generators were also studied. The paper describes past experiences and future plan of Technetium ―99m production in Thailand.
