Impact damage detection in radome sandwich structures by traditional non destructive evaluation and fiber optic integrated health monitoring systems

The ability of integrated Health monitoring systems based on fibre optic sensors is evaluated taking as a reference the results of traditional non destructive evaluation techniques selected in a preliminary phase for their sensitivity to the damages generated by impacts in sandwich composite materials for radome.
