摘要

A Total Quality Management(TQM) focus is a strategm requlrement in the highly competmve telecommunications industry of the 1990s.TQM can be denned as a management system which synergistically integrates employee involvement with a strong focus on customers which uses the tools of quality.Defect prevention via root cause/causal analysis in isolation as a tool of quality can be defined as a systematic technique of identifying the root cause of problems leading to detect prevention alld ultimately deteCt extlnctlon.This paper describes how significant progress towards TQM can be achieved in software development lifecycle via the implementation ot a comprehensive defect prevention program.The results of the mitianve are increased producnvlty,hlgh product quality.and better customer satisfaction.
