Advanced Manufacturing System: Education and Training - An Emerging Need of the New Economic and Globlisation Era

Presently, education and technology both are rapidly changing in the world. After globalization and new economic era, a greater demand to provide highly educated manpower in the area of advanced manufacturing system with certain level of competency is felt worldwide. This is required to produce quality goods in mass production at optimum (lowest possible) cost to face global competition. As a result of this, it has become necessary to update the present advanced manufacturing system education and training programme to cope up with the cyber edge to make the industries/service sectors enough competent - quality vise, economy vice and productivity vise internationally. This paper deals with the planning and implementation of advanced manufacturing education program and training modules for different level personnel's considering the emerging requirements of industries and other sectors.
